dismantlement of Alpine Sprite

I began this afternoon the dismantlement of the Alpine Sprite 400 caravan (camper trailer). I didn’t use it last year and haven’t this year either. Its contents; two 6-volt deep-cycle batteries (12-volt in series), 140-Watt solar panel, 2500-Watt inverter, 3-stage charger, fresh- & gray-water tanks, water pumps (pressure & draw), 16,000 BTU propane forced-air furnace, on-demand propane water heater, 1000-Watt microwave oven, stereo & speakers, two propane tanks with auto-switch-over regulator, sink, faucet, shower, LED lighting, and a few other things; will all be used somewhere else. The shell of the trailer will be up for grabs.

ISL

I went to ISL Engineering today and saw a manager. They do roadways (urban & rural), bridges (eight different bridge sites in Lethbridge alone), city water infrastructures (fresh, waste, storm), landscape architecture, and any structure that connects people and place in which we live.

Triple M Housing

I went to Triple M Housing today to remind them that I am very much interested in architectural design, drafting, engineering, and all things related. I was there on May 31st of this year, but today my resume was no where to be found. Long story short, it might’ve ended up on a production manager’s desk.

tiny houses getting big

The idea of the tiny house is catching on. The homes as well as the trend itself are getting to be not-so-tiny. There are a few shows on TV about people building their ideal tiny home. Floyd saw something in the paper today about a website devoted to organizing and marketing tiny house plans called Tiny House Plans. I found another called Tiny House Basics. Pretty interesting if you ask me.

interview – MPE Engineering

I had an interview today with MPE Engineering. Well. I hope I left a positive impression. We talked about courses and experience in college classes, software used, the ESL world, and others. I bombed on two questions – expected salary and knowledge of MPE.

EDDT is done (pretty much)

Yesterday was my last class in the Engineering Design and Drafting Technology program. I handed in my last project at 10pm yesterday evening and went home. (I made this a bigger font ’cause it’s been a pretty major thing in my life for the past few years.)

I’m sitting at 75.63% (unofficial) in my weakest subject, Process Design, but the Final Project is not marked yet. We designed oil & gas vessels and pipelines and studied how these systems work.
