Floyd complained about a “sore hip” for the past 10 or more days. It prevented him from helping me at the rental houses. This morning, We called 611 (Health Link, they call it) and had a pleasant but not very helpful conversation with a nurse.
We decided to go to Chinook Hospital Emergency as the ahsmobile app stated there was a 45 minute wait. Bullshit! We were there for eight hours! We arrived at about 10:45am and finally got home about 7:45pm (after having supper at Smitty’s).
So what was the diagnosis? It was not his hip but, rather, his lower back. Inflammation. Take naproxin (Aleve) and acetaminophen (Tylenol) and use diclofenac (Voltaren) on the muscle. We have all three of these at home.
On the plus side, we saw some deer in the parking lot. I know that’s not a big deal – they’re as common as flies sometimes – but nice just the same.
