There’s an app called Flash Foods that offers discount about-to-be-expired foods. I picked up some meat from them and threw it on the barbecue. Mine is not gas but, rather, wood. And coal.

pressure cooker
Part of the reason for buying this was to use up all the dry food stores we have from Rene. Cooking all these lentils and beans and peas … well, it never really works out well. Either they’re much or pellets when I’m done with them.
A&C told me about their pressure cooker and all the good food it can create. I looked online and found a Starfrit on sale. A&C and I walked (videophone) for a while, while I was at Walmart, about which one to get. In the end, I got a Hamilton Beach.

Aizlynn and Caleb bought a new pressure cooker. We were talking about what one can cook in it. I brought up the Rene food (a rather large selection of leftover food when he finished his tenancy) and the fact that I haven’t the foggiest idea what to do with much of it. Here is an accounting of all the dried foods and their quantities in our collection.

Aizlynn called me, thinking of Glenn’s birthday.
We talked for a bit about dentistry (root canals, extracted teeth, and implants), Glenn (his life, his death, and things between), and pierogies (in England, they don’t have pierogies, but the closest thing they have is filled with strawberry!).
Glenn has been gone 10 years.

For Floyd’s BD, I wanted to get some beef ribs from London Road Market. I went there by scooter only to find that they had none. (Why would have display beef ribs online if you don’t have any?) So I bought some pork ribs instead.

Okay, so there’s nothing really interesting to say about this. It’s just freshly ground coffee. But, to me, it’s a thing of beauty … in looks and smell!

This just an experiment. I made meatloaf muffins!
It’s a mixture of ground beef and turkey along with finely chopped vegetables. It turned out well but maybe a little too well done.
how to microwave corn on the cob
Some folks say that corn on the cob can only be barbecued. Or boiled in a pot. My favourite way is to microwave it.
